Nick Pelletier is a native of Massachusetts and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Political Science. After completing his studies in 2004 he accepted Islam. Soon after he accepted the position as the Public Affairs Representative of the Freedom Foundation for the Boston chapter of MAS. In 2006 he left the United States for Egypt where he began his study of the Arabic language and Islamic Jurisprudence. After completing his studies in Arabic he was granted a full scholarship to the prestigious Islamic University in Medina, where he completed his study of Arabic, and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Islamic Law. Upon returning home form Saudi Arabia he took the position of Imam for the Champions masjid of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston in Spring, TX. He recently resigned in order to take up the position of Director of Outreach for the Islamic Center of Irving, in order to focus his work on his passions of outreach, community and civic service, and the educational and spiritual development of new-Muslims.
