Every great society shares an appreciation for the history of its people. Through becoming conversant with our history, we not only gain inspiration from the achievements and successes of those who came before us but learn from their adversities and failures. As Churchill once said, those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. We live in an era which, without exaggeration, could be described as one of the dark ages of our umma. However, there was once a time in which Muslims were not only connected with their religion but led the civilized world in various disciplines, both spiritual and mundane. Men like Ibn Rushd, Ibn Khaldun, and Al-Biruni were the leading thinkers, philosophers, and scientists of their age, and people would travel to centers of learning in Andalus and Baghdad for education.

Please join us for our monthly seminar in which we will explore some of the achievements of these great men, not to revel in the glory of the past at the expense of improving our present condition, but rather to use them as a catalyst to, by the help of Allah, shape our future for the better.

This program will take place next Friday, March 10 after 'Isha (7:45pm).

We humbly request all to invite their family & friends to this event,
