She has written "An Acquaintance" (available for pre-order) to the Muslim communities, not only as a new YA fiction written by a Muslim author about Muslim minority in US, but also and especially to discuss the content of the book which resonates with our Muslim youth and their parents/families.

Both youth and parents struggle, and both need to hear the challenges of each other, so a good understanding can be formed.

About An Acquaintance:
Set in post-9/11, small-town America, "An Acquaintance" is a story that encapsulates the daily struggles of teenage Muslim girls in the West.
Sarah Ali is an intelligent and quintessential teenage Muslim girl who strives to excel both academically and spiritually, balancing her life between her faith-based values and American teen norms.
