Join MSA and the LGBTQ Center for a night of mingling, art, spoken word, and reflection. We hope to create a space that will allow us to get to know one another and the many components that shape our identity. We also hope to support artists from our communities whose art will be displayed in a silent auction.

This event offers a space for deep reflection on recent events that have spawned divisive rhetoric throughout our country, pitting two marginalized groups against each other. The space we aim to achieve is one that offers inclusive, constructive dialogue that dismantles notions of disunity. That includes being willing to lean into discomfort, allowing yourself to be vulnerable by relaying your experiences, thoughts, and questions. It's our hope that this space will be one that is conducive to fruitful discussion and free of criticism

During the summer, a vigil was held for the victims of the Orlando shootings. Many of us weren't on campus to pay respect to the victims with our fellow students. We will use a portion of the night to have a moment of silence and dedicate time for students to pray or hold intention.

Dinner will be provided from Med Deli.
