YM Brothers presents: YM ACTIVATE+

Two one-day events with one goal: to make life easy!

We know growing up can be difficult. A young man's teenage years are some of the most stressful, emotional and confusing of his life. If nothing else, they're the most changing years: one day a sweet chubby boy - the next, a bean pole with body odour and a caterpillar above his top lip...

...and didn’t life seem so hard in high school – but now that I’ve left, I feel like I’ve been plucked from my warm bed and thrown into the cold, harsh wilderness...

...BUT THAT’S WHERE ACTIVATE+ COMES IN!

With the help of top and expert instructors, both local and from a bit further afield, we hope to answer your questions, clear you doubts, ease your confusion and give you a firm handshake into your new-found Muslim manliness!

To allow us to focus on the issues facing particular age groups, we have split ACTIVATE+ into two events:

MONDAY 15th AUGUST - 11-15 years: for brothers in the early stages of 'the change'...

TUESDAY 16th AUGUST - 16+ years: for brothers leaving high school, or in education/work, and navigating the next phase of life...

£4 entry: registration opens at 9.30am, the events start at 10am and run till 5.30pm, including breaks.

To register, call 07730 270 443: limited capacity, so first-come, first-served. So grab your bros, your cousins and pals and get yourselves down to ACTIVATE+ !

The programme will be interactive, with topics falling into the following seven themes:

1. Manhood (staying pure; understanding your body, etc – topics vary by age group)
2. Girls & Boys (boundaries; urges)
3. Friends (peer pressure; selection; music)
4. Education (study and time management)
5. Marriage (value; selecting a wife – senior group only)
6. Drugs (alcohol and smoking awareness)
7. Islamic Awakening (two Islamic topics to awaken the soul: salah & tawbah; the Prophet’s character SAAS)

Our instructors include:

- Br Abdel Rahman Mussa: raised in Glasgow, Br Abdel Rahman resides in Birmingham, where he serves the Muslim and wider communities as a therapist, executive coach and trainer. He served as a teacher within YM while in Glasgow, and we’re very excited to welcome him back to share the knowledge and expertise he has gained while studying and applying hypnosis, NLP, emotional intelligence, alternative psychology and alternative medicine and Chinese philosophies for health and wellbeing from instructors around the world. Br Abdel Rahman runs a website for applying the teachings of spiritual purification: www.ipersonalenrichment.com.
