LIVING RIGHT
Borrowing from traditional texts and conventional wisdom, “Living Right” is a forum for newcomers to Islam, young people recommitting themselves to the Deen, or anyone seeking practical ways to progress spiritually.

CULTIVATING MINDFULNESS
Mindfulness meditation offers simple techniques, which use the breath and the body to anchor the practitioner in the present moment. Benefits of mindfulness meditation include stress reduction, heightened emotional understanding, and an increased awareness and acceptance of ourselves and others. All are welcome, no previous meditation experience necessary.

WORKSHOPS

PRACTICING MINDFULNESS
This day long silent mindfulness meditation retreat, led by Micah Anderson, will give us an opportunity to deepen our experience of mindfulness. This 6-hour intensive will look at how mindfulness can increase understanding of our environments and ourselves. Practice will include sitting, walking, and eating. No previous experience necessary.

STRENGTHENING THE CORE
A workshop on the duties of brotherhood by Imam Al-Ghazali, covers the spiritual significance of the eight duties of brotherhood and sisterhood that bind our community together.
