LIVING RIGHT
Borrowing from traditional texts and conventional wisdom, “Living Right” is a forum for newcomers to Islam, young people recommitting themselves to the Deen, or anyone seeking practical ways to progress spiritually.

CULTIVATING MINDFULNESS
Relax, breathe and focus on the present. Employing techniques of mindfulness meditation, this class will nurture increased awareness and provide participants with tools to manage the stress of daily life.

RECITING THE QURAN II
An interactive "tajweed" class that teaches those familiar with the Arabic alphabet how and why to recite the Qur'an. This is part two of the class and will begin with review. Those who were not in the first class are more than welcome to join. People of other faiths are welcome.

EMPOWERING OUR FAMILIES
One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves and our children is the story of our family’s journey. This special one day intensive brings together two premiere story curators to lead us in an interactive journey of memory & dreams so we may better preserve, share, & grow the intergenerational fabric that is our loved ones.

UNDERSTANDING THE PRACTICE (sisters only)
A ladies only workshop focusing on prayer and purification according to the Hanafi School of Law. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions in a safe space about religious guidelines specific to women.

PLAYING DRUMS
Join us for a lively gathering, with instruction and practice on learning the ancient sounds of the drum and djembe. No drumming experience necessary. Some drums will be on hand so bringing your own drum is optional. You will also have an opportunity to play during the Mawlid, which will follow the workshop.
