Tribute to a Pioneer: Sam De Francesco
Welcome Back to the Al-Ghazzali Centre!
The main vision of Al-Ghazzali Centre from it's inception since 2001 was to build an institution of people with transformative benefit, by nurturing prophetic character into the servants of the Merciful. The very foundations of Al-Ghazzali Centre was established by people who lived this vision themselves.
Sayyidi Sam De Francesco was one of these people. He was a pioneer, alongside Imam Afroz, in initiating programs such as Feeding the Homeless, Morning Invocations, Crescent Sighting, Cemetery Cleaning, and many more. It is programs such as these, and people such as sayyidi Sam that nurtured and gave life to the Al-Ghazzali Centre.
Although sayyidi Sam has left this world and returned to his Lord, his spirit of servitude to God, The Exalted, through serving creation will continue to guide us in our journey to our own final return. The fruits of the seeds that he sowed as a companion of Imam Afroz Ali in the early days of Al-Ghazzali Centre will continue to benefit humanity until the end of time, to nurture an institution of people of transformative benefit to the ends of earth
Please join us in a night of Remembrance, Reflections from those who knew him, and to collectively recite Yasin and Du’a for him, followed by dinner.
