The Funeral Workshop with Imam Afroz Ali
Al-Ghazzali Centre invites you to a 5-session (2 Saturdays and 3 Sundays) comprehensive seminar and practical workshop on death and funeral in accordance with Islamic Rites of its law, belief and spirituality.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
Guidance on what to do when death approaches someone
Legal, theological and spiritual dimensions of death and funerals
The Australian law concerning death and funerals
The workshop will include a very practical and hands-on practice of the procedures for:
Washing the deceased
Shrouding the deceased
Burying the deceased
Upon completing this program, you will know the rules and as well as practical steps to carry out the responsibilities that a deceased person has upon us, particularly our own family members. The program will also aid you to understand the spiritual dimensions of death and how to come to terms with grief upon losing someone close.
TIME: Saturday and Sunday 9:30am - 5:00pm (Class starts at 10am sharp, please arrive early so that the class can commence on time)
DURATION: 3 Weeks (Only Sunday on third weekend)
