Based on the latest findings in hadith sciences, including the cutting edge research of Shaykh Abdullah al-Judai (a leading muhaddith of our time), this in-depth course will provide a detailed introduction to the science of hadith and address the issue of authenticity of hadith.

As the second source of knowledge after the Qur’an, a clear understanding of ahadith is critical to understanding Islam.

Modules will include:
· Introduction to Ulum al-Hadith
· Compilation and categorisation of hadith
· Sunnah and hadith
· How do we understand the Sunnah today?
· Ten things you thought the Prophet (s) said, but he actually didn’t!

Dr Munir Ahmed has studied various topics (including Aqidah wa Firaq, Ulum al-Qur’an, Ulum al-Hadith and Usul al-Fiqh) for over 15 years with Shaykh Dr Abdullah Yusuf Al-Judai (a world authority in hadith and member of the European Council for Fatwa and Research).

Ahtsham Ali has also studied with Shaykh Abdullah Al-Judai for the last 15 years and has an MA in Theology & Religious Studies. He currently serves as the national Muslim Adviser to HM Prison Service, a role through which he supervises 200+ Imams working in prisons.

Imam Muhammad Abdul Latif Finch (USA) was one of the first students of the Zaytuna Institute where he earned his ijaza in Islamic Sciences. He is also a student ofShaykh Abdallah Bin Bayyah and Dr Umar Farooq Abdullah. He co-founded the Lighthouse Mosque in Oakland, California where he served as the Imam till 2012
