Islamic Relief USA is proud to present to you a special one night event for SOMALIA filled with the best of Somali Hiddi iyo Dhaqan (Tradition and Culture)!

We the have the honor of having a legend of all Somali legends, Hibo Mohamed Hudoon, known widely as Hibo Nuura joining us for the evening. Her famous renditions of some traditional Somali poetry will help us remember the glory and beauty of Somalia and the Somali language.

We will have also a lively performance by the Somali Museum of Minnesota’s dance troupe. This dance troupe serves as the only official Somali dance group in the United States and will perform beloved popular dances such as “dhaanto” and hundred year old warrior dances.

Our keynote speaker Abdi Kusow, is a well known Somali scholar and writer who has published many books and scholarly articles.
There is a famous Somali saying that goes “gacmo wada jir bay wax ku gooyan”,which loosely means to "when we put our hands together anything is possible"

Mahadsanid (Thank You)
