Youth Take Over: Making A Difference In Your Community
After attending the workshop, young adults will gain a greater understanding of different methods of civic engagement.
Plus learn about a cool new app to find places to volunteer!
We will start by sharing stories from other community members that have made an impact on the local community and engage in discussing the importance of volunteering. We will discuss ways to have younger voices heard, ideas made into reality, and joining a youth council and more. We hope to give the opportunity for youth, seniors, and adults alike to engage in one session in hands-on activities that will help young adults build the skills to become an effective community leader, empowering others, with a strong focus on communication.
