UNDERSTANDING SHARIAH VIDEO CONTEST RULES
ICNA Media proudly present the Understanding Shariah Video Contest , to help educate people about protecting religious freedom and to gain a better understanding of Shariah. These terms, conditions and any notices, including those available by ICNA will apply to the contest and to any websites (the 'Sites') where these rules appear by ICNA or otherwise, and to all services provided to you via the Sites. By entering this contest, you agree to all of the rules. This contest is void where prohibited by law. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

A. GENERAL CONTEST RULES

Agreement to Rules. All contest entrants (the "Participants") must strictly comply with the rules.
Submission Terms. All Participants must agree to the Understanding Shariah Video Contest submission terms ("Submissions Terms") as outlined.
Eligibility.No experience necessary. Contest is open to everyone except for immediate family members of ICNA employees, contractors, officers or directors of ICNA Media, any other organization directly involved with this project are not eligible. **U.S. residents and non-U.S. residents are both eligible for the video contest. Participants agree to abide by the terms of these rules and by the decisions of ICNA Media which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. There is no cost to participate in the contest. No purchase necessary.
Submissions. All Participants must submit a video submission which:
Must include related theme of Shariah
Must include the "Understanding Shariah" end slate [right click and select 'save Link as'] at the end of the Submission
Must be in English
Must be prepared in any one of the formats: WMV, AVI, MOV, MP4 or MPG file;
Must be HD quality and NTSC format
Must be minimum 720h X 480v. Highly prefer 1280hX720v or 1440hX1080v or 1920hX1080v.
Must be between 1:00 minutes - 3:00 minutes in length (including mandatory end-slate)
Submissions Are Final. Once submitted, all submissions are final and may not be altered or edited further. Duplicate Submissions will disqualify all such submissions.
Submission Deadlines. Participants may submit submissions until midnight MARCH 31, 2012 PST.
Content Limitations. You agree that you will not submit videos that are:
Copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to submit the material to this Contest in full compliance with these rules;
False, inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate, as may be determined by ICNA Media, or contrary to the Sponsor's other stated policies and procedures, where applicable.
Disqualification. Submissions which do not comply with these rules in any way will be disqualified, in ICNA Media's sole and final discretion, without notice.
Contest Decisions. All decisions regarding the contest will be made by ICNA Media in its sole discretion and are final.
Miscellaneous. This contest is void where prohibited by law. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
B. PRIZES AND JUDGING

Judging Criteria. Videos will be judged on fulfilling ICNA Media'scontest theme aned on the quality of the submission.
Theme. The theme of the video must be related to Understanding Shariah.
Judging Dates. Judging will take place by a panel of judges during the period of MARCH 31, 2012 through May 15, 2012.
Prizes. The panel will select one winner from each assignment to be awarded $5,000.
Notification. Winners will be notified tentatively in April of 2012.
Releases and Information Requests. All Winners must execute final releases and information requests prior to payment of the prizes within one month of receiving their winning notification from ICNA Media. Failure to execute final releases or fulfill the information requests or otherwise timely comply with all rules or requests from ICNA Media will void the award, and the prize may then be awarded to another entrant.
Taxes. Each winner is responsible for paying any and all taxes on his or her prize(s) and ICNA Media will report all prizes to the U.S. government as required by law. External Event Url
