African American Muslims are the cornerstone of Islam in America. Their drive, desire, commitment and selflessness built the foundation for generations to come. Let’s not forget that behind every famous face (Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali) there are countless unknowns who sacrificed for the sake of Allah. ICNA Houston recognizes, appreciates and celebrates this vibrant segment of the American Muslim community.

Join us as we celebrate Black History Month this February with Imam Khalid Griggs, the Chairman of ICNA Council for Social Justice.

Two events have been scheduled:
The Post-Malcolm Generation
Friday Feb. 17 @ 7:30pm - Islamic Outreach Center (IOC)

African American Muslims: The Heart of Islam in America
Tuesday Feb. 28 @ 6pm – Masjid Tawhid

Dinner will be served insha'Allah.
