Join us Sunday, Nov 20th, 3PM @ Washington Square Park to come together as Americans all around the country to say: "#IAmAmerica and I stand for democracy, equality and freedom from hate and fear. #IAmAmerica and we ALL belong here and we will work together to uphold our democracy, our freedoms and our values as one."

Launched by a collaborative of American Muslim organizations, #IAmAmerica is a national day of uplifting gatherings which will reinforce and amplify our solidarity as Americans who reflect the beautiful diversity of our great country -- and will continue to do so. The Vigils will hopefully serve as both a meeting place and springboard for continued local collaboration for the uncertain times ahead.

Our national multi-faith partners are: Shoulder-to-Shoulder, PICO National Network, The Foundation For Ethnic Understanding-FFEU, Disciples Refugee & Immigration Ministries, and Church World Service.

The National #IAmAmerica Vigil is inspired by the words of American Muslim boxer #MuhammadAli, who said:
“I am America. I am the part you won't recognize but get used to me. Black, confident, cocky; my name, not yours; my religion, not yours; my goals, my own; get used to me.” ― Muhammad Ali External Event Url
