ICNA Annual Supporters' Dinner

"Defending Religious Freedom, Understanding Shariah"

We would like to invite you to our Annual Supporters Dinner on Sunday, December 9th. The theme is Defending Religious Freedom: Understanding Shariah and our keynote speaker is Professor John Esposito from Georgetown University. Other speakers include Imams Zaid Shakir, Tahir Anwar and Alaeddin Al Bakri.

As you know there has been a rise in Islamophobia incidents and Islam and Muslims are being attacked on a daily basis. At ICNA we have been actively working throughout the year, showing the true face of Islam by our ICNA Relief social service and Why Islam outreach programs. We have a truck called Mercy on Wheels which is a mobile soup kitchen that goes out twice a month to feed the homeless in Oakland and San Francisco. And just recently we purchased a second truck to increase the number of people we feed.

For Dawah, every week our volunteers educate the mainstream public about Islam by setting up booth tables at shopping malls, flea markets and farmers markets. We showcased billboard Ads, Bus Ads and TV ad campaigns on Comcast to show the face of what Muslims are really like.

We also organized annual events like the Muslim Family Day and Islamic Quiz for youth. We want to expand and continue working on these programs by your support and encourage you to attend the dinner with you friends, family and community members inshallah.
