Since the Syrian Uprising in March of 2011, many civilians fled to Lebanon with nothing. Seeking shelter in a different country, many Syrians turned to Lebanese citizens and humanitarian aid for help. It has been four years and Syrian refugees, the vast majority being widows and orphans, have not been receiving the proper aid. As the part of Ummah, we should be doing our part in alleviating the suffering of our brothers and sisters.

We have the opportunity to collect various food items to feed 750 families. Helping Hand for Relief and Development in partnership with the Islamic Circle of Mercer County plans on sending this food container to Lebanon with YOUR help. The container will primarily benefit Syrian refugees, with a portion going to Palestinian Refugees and needy Lebanese living in harsh conditions.

Food items needed:
RICE 20 LBS - Great Value (Walmart Brand) or Canilla
FLOUR 10 LBS - Great Value (Walmart Brand) or Gold Medal
PINTO/ RED KIDNEY BEANS 8 LBS - Great Value (Walmart Brand) or Goya
VEGETABLE/CANOLA OIL 1 GAL - Great Value (Walmart Brand), Wesson, or Mazola
SUGAR 8/10 LBS - Great Value (Walmart Brand) or Domino
TEA 100 COUNT - Lipton

*ALL FOOD ITEMS MUST BE PURCHASED AT WALMART. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE FOOD ITEMS ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE ABOVE DESCRIPTIONS, OR THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ALSO, FOOD ITEMS MUST NOT EXPIRE WITHIN THE NEXT 12 MONTHS.
