Ustadha Yasmin Mogahed
She received her B.S. Degree in Psychology and her Masters in Journalism & Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing her graduate work, she taught Islamic Studies and served as a youth coordinator. She also worked as a writing instructor at Cardinal Stritch University and a staff columnist for the Islam section of InFocus News. Currently she’s an instructor for ALMaghrib Institute, a writer for the Huffington Post, an international speaker, and author, where she focuses most of her work on spiritual and personal development.
She has written the famous book “Reclaim Your Heart”, which is now available worldwide. One can visit her website, yasminmogahed.com, where one can find a collection of her articles, poetry, and lectures.


Ustadh Imam Wisam Sharieff
He is the founder and CEO of AQL, Advocating Quranic Literacy (aqlu.org), an institute focused on educating people and communities on how to read, recite, reflect upon, and retain the Quran. He is also the co-founder and academic chairman of Quran Revolution (quranrevolution.com), the most comprehensive and authentic Quran studies program available online anywhere in the world. He has taught over 20,000 students worldwide through workshops, traveling seminars, online instruction, and his studies at home and abroad. Imam Wisam is a teacher, a Qari, and a public speaker whose vision is to bring the Book and Message of Allah to people around the world.
Imam Wisam began his Islamic education at the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE) in Elgin, Illinois. He then continued at the Quran Academy in Lahore, Pakistan, under the personal guidance of Dr. Israr Ahmed (R), graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic grammar and a minor in Arabic literature. Imam Wisam has studied under scholars in Makkah and in Egypt. He completed his ijazah in Ashara Qiraat with Sheikh Ali Anwar (Alexandria, Egypt), and the study of the varying recitations of the Quran, under the guidance of Sheikh Uthman Khan. He is also a certified radiology technician.


Rodwan M. Saleh
He is (former) President of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH). He was born in New York and lived abroad for a number of years, thus, he is fluent in Arabic, and English. He has been a caller to Islam for twenty five years. He has held multiple roles within the Islamic community and has been actively involved in providing community services.
Saleh is a licensed volunteer by the State of Texas (Correctional Facilities) and a formal board member of Darul Arqam full time Islamic School, and PTA President. He is a Friday sermon speaker. He has been a teacher, as well as adviser for teens in Houston, TX. He studied liberal arts at the University of Iowa and is a Microsoft certified professional. Saleh has studied most books of Islamic traditions (Hadith) as well as different schools of thoughts within the Islamic religion.


Dr. Altaf Husain
He holds a doctoral degree from the Howard University School of Social Work in Washington D.C. His research interests include the integration of immigrant and refugee families, and especially Muslim adolescents, in the United States. He serves as Executive Assistant for Academic Affairs in the Office of the Provost at Howard University and is a double alumnus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Altaf is a former two-term national president of the Muslim Students Association, a current executive committee member of the Muslim Alliance in North America, and a board member of the Peaceful Families Project. He is married and has two sons.


Shaykh Gyasi McKinzie
Shaykh Gyasi (Ja-See) McKinzie was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Memphis, TN. He accepted Islam, while in high school. He earned his B.A. from the College of Dawah and Usool Ad-Deen, and a diploma in Arabic from the Islamic University of Medina. He also has a Masters in Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University.
He has nearly 15 years of experience providing Islamic leadership to schools and organizations. Besides having served as Imam of the Muslim Society of Memphis and as chaplain at two federal prisons, he has been the Youth Director of the Youth and Dawah Center in Memphis, TN. He has also served as an Islamic Studies teacher and school counselor at Pleasant View School and the Islamic School of Irving respectively.
Currently, Shaykh Gyasi teaches classes at AL-Kauthar Institute. And works for Helping Hand for Relief and Development as the Associate Director of Marketing & Outreach for the US South Central Region. He recently went to Kenya and Uganda on humanitarian trip with HHRD, where he was involved with Youth Empowerment, Orphan Support, Water For Life, Skills Development, and other humanitarian activities.
